Growing Little Man

In case you hadn't noticed, I am growing fast!! And one thing that is growing really fast is my hair, so on Friday, I got my second haircut. Mom was at the hairdresser getting some blonde highlights in here hair (apparently she wanted to look more like her blonde boys). I held still pretty well, but I wasn't too sure about those clippers she was using on me. Now I have a short, spikey looking hairdo and everyone says I look like a "little man".
Saturday was another beautiful day! It got up in the 80s!! I was outside a lot so Mom and Dad made me wear a hat so my head wouldn't get burnt. It was a cool hat though! My new Yankees cap that I got from Tim and Tonia! Don't I look like a little ball player? Of course, this ball isn't a baseball but a fun, bouncy ball my Grandma Peterson got for me!

There is lots for me to do outside. I like to play with my big, bouncy ball...
...and push around Daddy's wagon...
...and swing....WEEE!!!
Later on Saturday, my Uncle John, Aunt Christine, and cousins, Sarah and Sam came to visit. They wanted to come and see me and Teddy, and Mom and Dad too I guess. Here is Uncle John holding Teddy. Mom is hoping that Teddy ends up with light hair and light eyes like Uncle Johnny had as a kid.

Yesterday, Mom, Teddy and I spent the day at Grandma's house. It wasn't as nice of a day as we have had these past few weeks. It was cold and rainy...the perfect kind of day to stay and play inside. I played all day long while Mom and Grandma were working on some sewing projects. I love to be at Grandma's house!!

Our Week in Review!

Hi Everyone! Boy, this week sure did go fast! Let me give you an update on what we have been up to...

On last Friday, Teddy went over to see Dr. Alexander for the first time. They said he is one healthy baby boy! Teddy was still a little jaundice and not quite back to his birth weight, so he has to go back over the doctor's this afternoon to get weighed again. He looks bigger to me, so I am sure he is packing on the pounds by now. I stayed home with Grandma while Mom and Dad took Teddy to the doctor. Daddy stayed home the rest of the day. We played together for a while and then Daddy fell asleep with Teddy on the couch.
On Sunday, Aunt Amy and Aunt Amanda came for a visit. We went over to Grandma's house for lunch, then Amanda and Grandma took me over to the playground at the school next to Grandma's house. It was a little big for me, but I still got to go down the slide and on the teeter-totter.
On Monday, Daddy got my swing out for the first time this year. I thought it was pretty fun! WEEE!!
Then, on Wednesday, my Grandpa Peterson and Great-Aunt Jean came from Albany for a visit. They just left this morning. It was fun having them here. I got to chase Grandpa around and guess what? I am faster than him! I caught up to him no problem! My Aunt Jean thinks me and my brother are awfully cute! She was able to get Teddy's hiccups to stop, and let me tell you, that kid is always hiccupping!!
Here is a little video of me from last weekend. I spent a lot of time outside. Here I was pushing my wagon around. I got it stuck on the yard, but after some thinking, I figured out how to get it back on the driveway all by myself!!

Busy Boys!

I thought life was busy before, but boy this last week has been really busy. Now that Mom and Teddy are home from the hospital, there have been lots of visitors coming by to see my new baby brother and with the warm weather, there has been lots to do outside.

Dad was home from work on Tuesday and we spent most of the day relaxing at home. Later in the day, we decided to take a ride and surprise Grandma Peterson by stopping by her house. We ended up staying for dinner, so I ended up taking my afternoon nap there. Grandma set up a pack-n-play in her guest room for me, and I did sleep for a while. But, when Mom came into get me up, she discovered that I had turned the TV on all by myself and was watching a John Wayne movie! I was proud as a pickle that I had done it myself. I guess I might be a western movie lover like my Dad and Grandpa Peters. Teddy is liking things at home. Mom seems to be getting more rest the last couple of nights as Teddy settles in. Everyone says that a lot of his pictures are like "deja vu" since he is wearing a lot of the same outfits as me and doing many of the same cute things. We don't really look alike though. Teddy hair is much lighter than mine was at birth, and where I have a broad chin and big hands, Teddy has a thinner, longer face with very thin, long fingers.
With all the visitors coming on Wednesday, I was helping Daddy do some chores around the house. First, I helped vacuum.
Then it was outside to do some yardwork. I helped Daddy with the wagon.
And even picked up sticks!

Our visitors on Wednesday were my Grandpa Peters, Aunt Michelle and cousins, Cohen and Cooper. Here is a photo of Cooper with Teddy. Cooper is now 5 months old. That means it won't be long before Teddy is his size!
I am looking forward to Teddy getting bigger, because I have so much fun playing with Cooper and trying to get him to laugh and talk to me!
Yesterday was a whole day of visitors!! My Uncle George, Aunt Laurie and cousins, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna all came down to visit. They stayed the whole day at our house and we all went over to Grandma Peterson's for dinner. Grandma Peters and Great-Grandma Young also stopped by. They were all here for lunch. Then, Grandma Jane stopped by too! She isn't really my Grandma, but she is very special and thinks a lot of me and my brother.
Mom and Dad had to keep up with a tradition by putting Teddy into Dad's baseball glove, just like they did with me when I was his age. He is just the right size right now!

New Baby Brother!!

Guess what?!! I have a new baby brother named Theodore William Peters! He was born on Saturday, April 12th at 10:49 AM. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 inches long. Mom was able to deliver him naturally so she didn't need a surgery like with me and she is feeling great! Both Teddy and Mom came home from the hospital yesterday. I am so glad they are home. I liked the nurses at the hospital, but I didn't like being confined to Mom's room and I couldn't roam free like I wanted because there were lots of things I wasn't allowed to touch.
I am still figuring this big brother role out. I am really interested in him when he cries, but I want to touch his face and no one will let me do that. Mom says it won't be long and he will grow a little so that he can see me and react to the things I do. That should be fun.
Things were so off over the weekend with Teddy's arrival that I am glad to have things back to some sort of normalcy this week. Mom woke up with me this morning to cuddle and watch cartoons, just like usual. Daddy is coming home early with work. I am hoping he takes me outside to play. And I've gotten to spend lots of time with Grandma Peterson which has been great!! I even go to spend my first night at her new place on Sunday night! All in all, I think this big brother thing will be great!!

Happy Retirement to Grandma!!

My Grandma Peterson is officially retired and living down the road from me now! Her last day of work was on Friday, and yesterday, we threw her a surprise retirement party at Bristol Harbour in Canandaigua with lots of people she had worked with over the years. I love being at Bristol Harbour. While we waited for Grandma to get there, I occupied my time in the lobby where they had a stuffed brown bear. It took me a while to warm up to him, but once I realized he wasn't real, all I wanted to do was go see the bear. Daddy kept taking me out there and taught me the word "bear" and that they saw "Grrr!". After that, each time I saw it, I would growl at it. Throughout the whole party, I love to run around the table and smile at all the people. It was a long day for me, but it was so much fun! Here is a photo of me and Grandma at the big event!

Now that I am walking around so much, my new fascination is with doors. They can be any sort of door...big doors, little doors, cabinet door, refridgerator doors. It doesn't really matter, but any time I see an open door, I like to go close it. Daddy thinks it is a great way to keep me occupied. Check out this latest video!

BABY UPDATE...The new baby is still hanging out in Mommy's belly, but we are all prepared that it could come any day now. Mom's due date is April 23rd, so we are closing in on the date, but no big news to report yet!!

Seeing Family and Friends

Yesterday, my Grandma and Grandpa Peters came to my house, along with Aunt Michelle, Cohen and Cooper. They came for a dinner and a visit, and to drop off some boxes of baby clothes that Aunt Michelle had so Mom and Dad can get things ready for the new baby. Mom only has 3 more weeks until her due date. I still love to look at her big belly. It makes me laugh because it is so funny looking.

After dinner, all us boys were playing in the livingroom and watching the baseball game.

Then we all took a drive out to see Grandma Peterson's new apartment. Grandma Betsy, Michelle and Mom went inside to check things out, but I stayed outside with Dad and Grandpa. On the way over there, Mom and Dad saw their friends, Bob and Sandy, taking a walk with their doggie. Daddy had just said how he wanted to get in touch with them since they only live a few blocks from Grandma's new apartment. Sandy is a regular visitor to my blog - that is how she keeps tabs on me since Mom and Dad don't see her too often. I hope to see them more now that Grandma will be nearby. Maybe this summer, we can all take walks together!
