Oh My Cuteness

We all know I am cute, right? Well, everyone thinks my little brother Theodore is cute too. I guess he's cute. I mean, he has fat, rosy red cheeks, big blue eyes and a really gummy smile. If you think those things add up to cuteness, than you should take a look at the photos below.

Teddy went with Mom Mom to Keuka Lake this past weekend on one of her scrapbooking retreats. I used to go with her, but now I am too big and a little too active, so I stayed home with Daddy. Daddy and I had lots of fun on our weekend together too, but I don't have any pictures to show you. Daddy took me shopping and bought me new boots and some new handy-dandy new utensils I use when I eat. We even went to have dinner at Papa Peters house with Aunt Shel Shel, Cohen and Cooper, and we went to church on Sunday morning together...all just me and Dad!

Teddy was in a photo shoot done my Mommy and Aunt Shannon, just like the one they did with me at Keuka Lake when I was three months old back in April of 2007. Here are some prize winning shots!

What's the Word?

I bet you are wondering, "What's the word with those Peters' boys?" Well, here is a little update!

Teddy turned 5 month old last Friday and as a celebration, he got his first taste of rice cereal. I was wondering what Mom was mixing up in one of my plastic bowls, so I kept bugging her for some. Well, let me tell you...I don't miss that rice cereal. It tastes like a whole lot of nothing. But, Teddy seems to like it. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it during his first feeding. He let it just sit in his mouth, and then when he smiled, it would leak out the corners of his mouth.

We crammed a lot into two days last weekend (pretty usually for us!). On Saturday, we participated in a family in a fundraising walk to benefit the Children's Craniofacial Association that one of the families we met through Mom's MOPS group was organizing. It was really rainy that morning and we didn't know if it would turn out to be a good day, but it dried up about the time we got there and we had lots of fun. Our team was #3 for total funds raised, so thanks to everyone who supported us!! After the walk, Daddy had to stop by the office to take care of a few things. A quick stop turned into a couple of hours, so I thought I would get some work done too. I made used one of the open offices to make some calls and do some computer work.

On Sunday, we went to see Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. He turned 86 years old on Tuesday. My Grandma Peters was there and brought lots of fun toys for me to play with. We had a yummy lunch and got to relax on one of the most beautiful (unexpectedly!) days at the lake all summer. It was 80 degrees with a nice breeze! Perfect weather for Teddy to play with his toes...a new favorite pasttime of his...

...and for me to pick tomatoes off Grandpa's plants. They were so yummy that I popped them right into my mouth.
Grandpa even let me sit with him up in his new truck. BEEP BEEP!!

Grandma Peterson was gone for the weekend to a Dude Ranch with one of her friends. Teddy was inspired by her trip and thinks he might be a cowboy when he grows up.

Tuesday was also my Grandma Peterson's birthday! We decided to take a trip up to Uncle George and Aunt Lou Lou's house to celebrate it together. Mom, Teddy and I headed up there on Tuesday afternoon. I played with Jenna and Lily (their puppy) for awhile and then we headed to Sarah's soccer game. She is playing JV this year. I like to watch the ball go all over the field. No one would let me go play with it though. I got a really good view of the game from my Uncle George's shoulders.

After the game, we headed back to their house to have some dinner. Jenna and I watched some "Bob the Builder", my favorite show while we waited for everyone to be ready to eat.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GRANDMA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GRANDMA! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR GRANDMA!! We love you Grandma Peterson!!

Wow...It's a Bus!

My fascination with school buses started back at the end of July went Andrew Hyde shared one of his toy school buses with me. I learned the word "bus" and became quick to point out every bus on the road (which included RVs, tractor trailers and any other large vehicles). Well, there are TONS of buses on the roads these days now that school is back in session. The best place to see buses....sitting on Grandma Peterson's front step about 3 PM. She lives right next to the high school so I get to watch as all the buses pull in to pick up the kids and then leave with all the kids on board. My first experience was this past Monday when Mom, Theodore and I spent the day at Grandma's.

Teddy was not as excited by the buses as I was. He find enjoyment in the small things, like trying to grab his own tongue.

Unofficial End of Summer

Wow! This summer has gone so fast! With the celebration of Labor Day comes the unofficial end of summer! This was my second summer season and let me tell you...it was a ton of fun! We had a great family weekend to top off our great summer.

On Saturday, we said "good-bye" to our pool...forever! Yep, we gave our pool to a local family who came and took it apart over Friday night and Saturday morning. Now I have a REALLY big sandbox to play in! I have spent more time in the pile of dirt left by the pool than I ever did in the pool itself! After that was done and I had gotten a good nap, we headed over the Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young's at the lake. My Great-Aunt Sharon and Uncle Mike were in town visiting, so we all got together for dinner. My Gram Gram Peters was there, along with my Great-Uncle Bob and Aunt Carole along with their son Brett. Even Grandma Peterson went with us. Here is a photo of Aunt Sharon with Uncle Bob playing with Theodore.

On Sunday, we got up early and went to church. We hadn't been in a few weeks with all the travel and busyness of the summer, so everyone there was really glad to see me. I am like the only kid who doesn't cry when Mom and Dad leave me at the nursery, but cries when they come to pick me up. I have so much fun playing with the other kids. Soon Teddy will come to the nursery with me, but Mom and Dad usually still take him to the service with them and he sleeps the whole time. We spent some time at home through the rest of the morning and afternoon. Then, we went to the Smith's lake house for dinner. The Smith's are my parent's friend, Tim's parents, so Tim and Tonia were there. We had a yummy dinner down by the lake and I went on my first big boat ride (besides the paddle boat at camp). I wasn't so sure about it at first, especially when I had to put on a life jacket, but after we got going I liked to wave at the other boats and point to the big waves the motor made in the water. I even got to drive the boat with Tim!!

We ended up staying at the lake well past my bedtime because we were having so much fun. Tim was playing with Teddy down on the floor and I was busy playing with his neice Gretchen who is almost 16 now. Thanks Tim & Tonia for inviting us to the lake! We had such a wonderful time!
Yesterday was a day at home to help Daddy with some yardwork and play in the big sandbox. We ended the long weekend with a good dinner at Champ's with Grandma Peterson.
This morning Theodore tried out the bouncy seat for the first time. He really seemed to like it. He didn't do much bouncing yet because he isn't quite big enough. I was a professional bouncer back when I used to hang out in there. We will have to see if he gets as good as me.

Here Theodore and I sharing a little brotherly love. Aren't we cute?!
