Turkey Day Preview

Yesterday, we had a little Turkey Day Preview here at our house. Uncle George, Aunt Lou Lou, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna came down to visit and enjoy a big Sunday dinner with us. We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner since it is one of Daddy's favorite meal and we were kind of celebrating his birthday, along with Mommy's, Aunt Lou Lou's and Karlie's, which were also this month. It was great to spend the day together!

Happy Birthday to Mommy and Daddy!

Karlie, Aunt Lou Lou, Jenna and me in the school bus!

Nothing better than piling up in a comfy chair after a big meal to watch some football and cuddle with Theodore.

Mommy, Theodore and I are all fighting colds, so we decided to take the day to stay home today and rest up. Mom said we need to buy stock in Kleenex with all the nose-wiping going on around here. Hopefully we will all be healthy soon!

Cute Lil' Creatures

I got to spend the first part of this week with my cousins, Cohen and Cooper. Mom Mom, Theodore and I all went to Aunt Shel and Uncle Joe's house for an overnight visit. I had lots of fun playing with Cohen & Cooper's toys and being silly with them. We decided it would be fun (or maybe our Mom's decided it would be fun) to dress up in Halloween costumes and get some pictures! Aren't we some cute, lil' creatures?!

Teddy really enjoyed the exersaucer that was at their house. He would spin around and play with all the toys. He really likes to put things in his mouth now, so that is where every toys seemed to go.
Mom Mom kept an eye on me, Theodore and Cooper while Aunt Shel Shel went to Cohen's preschool class. Here is me and Cooper having a little lunch together. That morning, I got to go with Aunt Shel when she took Cohen to school. I had to get all bundled up in one of Cohen's snowsuits because it was snowing outside!

Cohen and I play together sometimes. We especially liked sitting and playing with his matchbox cars at the table, and running our big cars around the kitchen.

I played a little with Cooper too! He is still pretty small but he is starting to move around on his feet, as long as he has something he can hand on to.

We had lots of fun visiting them, but I sure did miss Daddy. I missed our nightly wrestle time and bear hugs. Daddy is so much fun! He even get inside my school bus with me and shows me how to drive the bus!

Hey, What About Me?

I realized that there were no pictures of me on yesterday's posting. That not very fair considering this is my blog, so here is a little video of ME!

Oh, and since I am doing another post, here is a cute picture of Teddy from yesterday. Daddy brought up the walker this weekend and Teddy really likes it!

Birthday Celebration at Gram Gram's

On Sunday, we took a trip out to Gram Gram Peters' house for a birthday celebration. Who for you ask? My mom and dad!! Mom's birthday was earlier this month and Daddy is on Thursday. Gram Gram threw a wonderful dinner gathering at her house with Papa Peters, Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young, Aunt Shel Shel, Uncle Joe, Cohen and Cooper. Even my Grandma Peterson and cousin Jenna were there! We spent the afternoon together playing and enjoying each other's company. I had lots of fun playing with my cousins. Cohen is starting to like me more and more these days, especially now that I am old enough to play with him. We had so much fun together, we even shared a hug and kiss good-bye! Here are some fun photos from our day together...

Jenna & Teddy....

Daddy and Cohen making their mean faces...one of the ways to get Cohen to smile for the camera!
Cooper was having fun sucking on the balloon!

Great-Grandma Young fed Teddy a bottle...or at least held him while he fed himself. He is getting pretty independent these days!

Here is a fun, little video that I like to call "BABY UFC"....

Thanks Gram Gram for a great day with family!!

Teddy at the Doctor

Hi Everyone! Theodore went to the doctor's today for his 6 month appointment. I didn't have to go, so I stayed home with Grandma while Mom and Dad took Teddy. Dr. Alexander said he is doing great! He is up to 17 lbs. 12 oz. (50th percentile) and 27.5 inches long (80% percentile). The chart showed his weight gain has slowed up as he was up near the 75th percentile before, but boy, he is still pretty roley poley, much more than I was. He did really good at the doctor's....until he peed on Dr. Alexander. Hee-hee-hee! I never did anything like that! I feel kind of bad for Teddy since he had to get four shots today. He never really cries, and he sure was crying this afternoon! They obviously have him feeling a little under the weather. I try to do my best to entertain him and give him kisses to feel better.

We have some fun things planned for the weekend and will hopefully have some photos to share with you on my next posting!

Indian Summer

This weekend was beautiful!! Grandma said it is called "Indian Summer" and is her favorite time of the year. The trees that cover the hills around us are turning all sorts of beautiful colors. The air was warm and the sun was out, and last night there was the biggest moon in the sky! I love to go outside with Daddy and see the moon. Last night, I ran across the yard trying to catch it, but you know what I learned? It is really far away!

Our house was a buzz this weekend with all sorts of projects that Mommy and Daddy wanted to get done before the cold weather comes. Daddy put a new back door in on Saturday with the help of Papa Peters. They worked on it all day! It took quite a bit of work since the old door was original to our 1939 house and wasn't a standard size. Our new door is 4 inches wider and 2 inches taller than the old one, which makes it seem really big! Mommy can walk in with Teddy in his car seat, and doesn't have to turn sideways. My favorite part? The fact that I can now open it all by myself. I don't think Mom and Dad like that feature as much as me.

While Papa was here, I had to show him some of my skills. Daddy has been showing me how to hit a wiffle ball of the tee. The only part I am having trouble with is holding the bat. I like the soft, cushy end so I hold it there. Oh well! Seems to work just fine!

Grammy Peterson came over yesterday to help out with some of the projects Mommy was working on. They got the dining room chairs all sanded and painted. Mommy even ripped up the old carpet on the porch while Grammy made us a yummy dinner. After dinner, we all went out for ice cream to celebrate Teddy's 6 month birthday! I can't believe he has been here for 6 months already! He goes to the doctor's on Friday. I wonder how much he weighs these days. I'll have to let you know. Here is Teddy and Daddy laying on the floor last week. Teddy is getting stronger and stronger. Now Daddy can wrestle around on the floor with him, just like he does with me!

Here's a few more cute pictures from this week. You can see that I'm outside playing in my rubber boots. Daddy bought them for me so I can truck around the yard like he does and play in all the sand where the pool used to be.

Here is Teddy enjoying a bottle. He takes bottles sometimes now when Mommy is away or really busy. He is big enough to hold it all by himself!

Weekend at Pinetree Hollow

We spent the weekend at Pinetree Hollow, which is the name of my Aunt Jane & Uncle Gary's camp. I've been up there in the summertime, but this was my first trip in the colder weather, and instead of there being lots of people, it was just Daddy, Mom Mom, Teddy and me with Aunt Jane & Uncle Gary. That meant there was plenty of space for me to spread out my toys and lots of attention directed my way!

We stopped to see my Mom's Great-Aunt Arlene on the way up. She is 90 years old! I liked to grab the magnets off her refrigerator and push the huge number buttons she had on her phone. She thought I was quite a little spitfire as I ran back and forth from her kitchen into her livingroom. We got up to camp in time to have dinner with Aunt Jane & Uncle Gary, but before too long it was time for bed. Teddy and I had on our matching pajamas and got to curl up with Uncle Gary for a while. He got to see all my trucks, trains and buses that I brought along with me.

We hung around camp in the morning and had a super yummy breakfast of French Toast that Aunt Jane made. Once everyone was ready, we packed up in the car again and headed north to the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks in Tupper Lake. Mom and Dad took me there last summer when I was about Teddy's age (6 months) and I loved it, especially watching the otter named Squeeks. This time it was even more fun!!
Aunt Jane, Daddy and I touched the big ice block. I learned that there once was ice all over that formed the mountains in the Adirondacks and the hills around my house!
Teddy and Mommy tried the ice too!
I spent more time in the interactive room this year. I really like the rustic block set.

Of course, I went back to visit my old friend Squeeks. He had a new friend with him this time. If you look closely, you can see Daddy and Teddy on the other side of the tank watching the otters too.

My favorite part this year was watching all the fishies....

I took a walk around the nature path with Mom and Dad. I took a photo with my mom on this rock over a year ago...boy have I changed since then!!

This time I was big enough to walk around the bridge with Dad. Last year he had to carry me because I couldn't even walk yet. I hope we come back every year. Just think of all Teddy will be able to do by next year!

Thanks Uncle Gary and Aunt Jane for a great weekend!! We love you!!
