Merry Christmas Everyone!

WOW-WEE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I hope everyone had a good Christmas. We had a GREAT day here at my house! After all this talk about Christmas and Santa Claus, I finally got to see what all this fuss has been about. Santa Claus came to our house, just like Dad Dad said he would. When I came downstairs this morning, Mom & Dad kept saying "Who was here?", so of course, my first guess was our most regular visitor, Grammy. But then I saw a bunch of presents under the tree and remembered that Santa Claus had come! The first thing I saw was the new train set he left that was all set up for me! I ran right to it and started to play!

Mom and Dad wanted to open some other gifts, but I just wanted to play with my train. I did eventually decide to open some other gifts and I got a "Gordon" and "Percy" trains for my Thomas railway, and a Rocket ship from Little Einstein. It was then that I got this concept that if I open the gifts, I get new, cool things!! From then on, Mom and Dad didn't have any trouble getting me to open the rest of my gifts.

Teddy enjoyed his presents too! Some of his boxes were as big as him. He got some fun toys, but he really enjoyed the wrapping paper. Of course, he tried to eat it (like he does everything). Teddy got a Santa hat from Aunt Shel Shel that he wore almost all day. He looked super cute in it!

Later that morning, Papa and Gram Gram Peters came over to our house. Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young also came over! We had a nice brunch together.

I really had fun during brunch playing "peek-a-boo" with Papa. He sat on the other side of Gram and I would peek around her to say "Hi Papa!" over and over again!

After brunch, we enjoyed each other's company and opened some more gifts. We played with our new toys and looked at old photos from Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young's slides. There was lots of cute pictures of Daddy as a little boy!

Teddy and I were exhausted from all the excitement, so we took some long (and much needed) naps. When we woke up, everyone had gone, but the new toys were still here!! Daddy had made a yummy Turkey dinner for us, and before long, Grammy Peterson and Great Aunt Jean stopped by. They had just returned from Rochester where they spent Christmas at my Uncle George & Aunt Lou Lou's house. I showed them all my new toys and they even helped us open a few more that we hadn't gotten to yet.

This is our new wagon that Santa brought us! I can't wait until warmer weather when I can hitch it up to my John Deere wagon and tote around the yard!

Mom Mom said that one of the most important parts of Christmas is being together as family, and we saw a lot of family over the last few days. On Christmas Eve, we went to Canisteo and saw a lot of Dad's family and yesterday, we had a big gathering at Grammy's house with all of Mom's family. I will post some photos from those fun days this weekend for you all to see, and maybe some new video too! Right now, I need to get back to my toys! Until then, love and best wishes to everyone! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas Preparations

The last couple of weeks have been really busy at my house. We are preparing for Christmas! Mom Mom says it a very important holiday because we celebrate Jesus' birthday. I am learning all about Christmas and its traditions this year. So far, I have liked everything about Christmas, especially the cookies, the songs, seeing friends and family...and apparently the best is yet to come!

Getting ready for a celebration this big takes lots of preparation. First off, it snows a lot this time of year. I had to help Daddy clear off all the snow from our driveway last Friday...and today we got tons more. Daddy says it can sometimes be one of those never-ending jobs.

Then, last weekend I got to see Karlie, Jenna and Aunt Amanda, who all came down to Grammy's house to bake Christmas cookies. I didn't help bake them, I just helped to eat them!

Karlie played with me and all my trucks at Grammy's house. Grammy and Jenna were a good baking team!!

This week, our friends Brooke, Angelo and their daughter Ava stopped through as they were traveling through our neighborhood to visit friends. We got to spend some time with them and see how much Ava has grown. She is 10 days younger than Teddy and doing a lot of the same things he is. Teddy and Ava seemed to enjoy playing together.

Next week we have all sorts of fun days planned to celebrate Christmas with family and friends. I'll be sure to take lots of photos so you can see them! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Just Sit and Say Cheese

Mom and Dad were trying to get a nice photo of Teddy and I together for our Christmas cards this year. It was quite a tasks as you can imagine. Just so you can really appreciate it, here are some outtakes. We didn't even use any photos from this session, nor the next one that ended quickly when Teddy took a nose-dive on the floor. It was the third and final session that got us the winner. You'll have to wait for your Christmas card to see!!

Turkey Day Finale

Our week-long Thankgiving celebration came to an end this week with two big finale events. Saturday was a fun, family-filled day in Canisteo. We saw a whole pile of Daddy's extended family when everyone gathered at Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young's house. Grandpa and Grandma Young had all of their children, some of their grandchildren, and even some of their great-grandchildren (like me!) filling their house to the brim. It was lots of fun to see everyone, especially since we haven't seen them since this summer. Everyone was surprised at how big Teddy is getting. He is at that age where he is changing everyday. Me...well, I look about the same, but I have about 10-20 new words I learn everyday!!

Here is Teddy is Uncle Billy's (Dad's cousin) ball cap. Boy, Uncle Billy has a big head!

Gram Gram gave Cooper and me rides on Great-Grandma's walker seat...

Our final day of the week was a day at home on Sunday. Mom Mom got really sick on Saturday, so she was under-the-weather all day. Grammy Peterson made us dinner and came over to spend some time with us.

Mom loves taking close-up photos of Teddy to show off those blue eyes!

I helped Daddy put one of my toys back together that I broke. I put the screws into the holes and even gave the screwdriver a turn or two.

Giddy-up Horsey!!

I hope everyone else had a super fun, family-filled Thankgiving celebration too!!
