Christmas 2010 (a little late!)

We are already almost two weeks into 2011 and I'm finally getting this posted. I had some pictures uploaded weeks ago, but as is typically around here, got distracted and never got back to it. I'm sure you'll all interested in our Christmas. It was really exciting this year! Here is a rundown of our Christmas weekend!

Things kicked off on Thursday evening when we headed to Grammie's house for dinner and presents. She got Teddy and I Buzz Lightyear costumes! We immediately put them on. Teddy was serious about his Buzz business! After dinner, we all headed to church together and then back to our house for brownie sundaes!

Christmas Eve is where our Christmas plans started to unravel. Denton had gotten sick on Thursday, and by Friday it had moved to Teddy. He was really sick with the stomach bug, so our plans to travel to Canisteo as a family were cancelled. Instead, just Daddy and I went to deliver our gifts and see Gram Gram, Papa, Aunt Shel, Cohen & Cooper. It just wasn't the same without Mom, Teddy and Denton there, but we made the best of it.
By Christmas morning, Teddy was feeling better, but Mom Mom had caught the bug. We were up around 7 and eager to get downstairs to see what Santa had brought for us. We opened gifts and Dad had the fun job of getting all our new toys out of the crazy packaging!! My favorite gift was Boris the Tyrannosaurus. Teddy's favorite was his Buzz Lightyear. Later in the morning, Papa came and had breakfast with us. Mom went back to bed. Daddy was amazing! He did all the work all day long while Mom was feeling sick. Although it wasn't the Christmas we'd planned for, we still had a great day at home enjoying our new stuff and being together.

Sunday, everyone was feeling well enough to travel to Uncle George and Aunt Laurie's for the Peterson Christmas. We had lots of fun playing Just Dance 2 with our cousins, and got some more presents to open. Denton got some new gifts, but had just as much fun playing with the plastic cups. It was the perfect end to a Christmas weekend!
