Trip to the Falls

We are back from our mini-getaway to Niagara Falls! Mom, Dad, Theo and I left on Wednesday morning around 11 AM and got home late last night. We had a great time! Here is how things went down...

We pulled out of the driveway at 11:04 AM on Wednesday. The morning was pretty relaxed since Mom was super-organized and had things packed & ready to go the night before. And, we sure packed the car right to the brim!! We had pack-n-plays, strollers, toys, bumper seats, blankets, food, clothes!!

Our first destination was the Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls, NY to do some shopping. We had lunch when we first arrived, then Mom proceeded to run in and out of stores while Dad circled the area with us in the stroller. If Dad stopped moving, I would quickly remind him to resume movement by letting out a yell. As long as Dad kept the stroller moving, Theo and I stayed happy, so for the next few hours, Mom would go in stores, come out with bags, and Dad would take bags out to the car while Mom continued shopping. Each of us got something new! Mom got some tank tops and new sneakers. Dad got some t-shirts and a duffel bag. Theodore and I got matching shirts for the 4th of July and some new bath toys. Dad even found us some really cool collectible figurines, one of Ty Cobb for me and one of Ted Williams for Theodore.

When we left the mall, we headed for the Rainbow Bridge which took us out of the United States and into Canada. This was the first time Theodore and I were ever out of the country. We stayed at the Embassy Suites Fallsview. Dad got us an upgrade to a Presidential Suite! The view was absolutely amazing from our room. The room sat at the corner of the building with this large rounded window so we could see both the American and Canadian falls from our room. I couldn't believe how high up in the air we were!!
Mom got us all settled in the room while Daddy went out to get us some dinner. When Daddy got back, I was taking a bath, but this wasn't just any bath...this was a super-duper huge bath!

Teddy was glad just to be out a car seat and relaxing on the big bed.

On Thursday, we got up and headed out to explore! We walked around Niagara Falls for most of the morning, checking out souvenir shops and enjoying the town before it got too warm. Here is a photo of Daddy, Theodore and me when we stopped for some Dippin' Dot ice cream. Daddy got quite a workout that morning pushing the double stroller and wearing the backpack!

We walked all the way down to the Falls, but by then I was too tired to really be excited about it. Mom and Dad still had enough energy to smile!

We went back to the hotel around mid-day to cool off and take a snooze. I slept for three hours and when I woke up it was time to go out for some dinner. We actually went to the IMAX theatre first. We bought our tickets and got all settled in the theatre to watch the show, but then they showed previews for the dinosaur show that was playing next and I got scared. These dinosaurs looked life size on the huge IMAX screen and the roared REALLY loud. I jumped about 6 feet of Daddy's lap and screamed. Mom had already seen the show so her and I left the theatre while Daddy and Theodore stayed for the show about the falls. Mommy and I filled our time by playing with stuffed animals in the gift shop and having our photo taken in a photo booth. We headed back to the hotel for dinner. Mom and Dad had some yummy prime rib, but I didn't eat much. In fact, I didn't eat much the whole trip because I have a new tooth trying to come through. This one is a big tooth and my gum is so swollen, it looks like it might explode!

Here are some more views from our room. This is the view during the day...

And here is the same view at night...

After dinner, Daddy took me for my first swim in a pool! I was really nervous being around so much water so I held really tight to Daddy's shirt. After our swim, it was up to bed. Mom and Dad were really happy that Theodore and I slept well during the trip. Thursday was actually Mom and Dad's anniversary, so it was nice for them to have some quiet time to spend together once us boys were asleep.

The morning came really early in our hotel rooms, especially as the light poured in those big windows and woke us up. Teddy was usually the first up, but at least he wakes up with a smile!

We packed everything up and headed home on Friday morning. We stopped at a Dairy Queen for some lunch and then headed back to the U.S. of A! Since Aunt Michelle and Uncle Joe's house was on our way home, we stopped there for a while to visit. I loved being there with all of Cohen's toys to play with, especially after having such a limited selection of toys at the hotel.

All in all, we had a fabulous family trip!! It was great to spend time as a family away from home! Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Thanks for the fun trip!!

Scrubby in the Tubby!

Did you know that in just a few more days, on the 5th of June, I will be 16 months old and my Mom & Dad will have been married for 4 years? Yep, it is a big day coming up so we are taking a trip as a family to celebrate. Mom & Dad have made plans for us to go to Niagara Falls this week! I'll make sure to take lots of photos and post them when we get back.

This past weekend was a nice, family weekend. Mom had some friends from college, Alyson and Preston who came to visit on Saturday. They were down this way for a wedding and had their new son, Preston II with them. He is super cute! They got a big kick out of me when I woke up from my nap because I was very animated and talkative. I'm not shy at all!

Later that day, we went to Grandma Peters' house to have dinner with her and Aunt Michelle, Cohen and Cooper. Grandpa Peters came over for a while to see us too! I like to chase my cousin Cohen around and explore Grandma's house. After dinner, Cohen and I took our baths together. It was fun to splash around, share toys and get clean together!

Everyone is always commenting on how long my eyelashes are. They look especially long when they are wet. See!
I was a little under the weather yesterday. It was a combination of being tired from Saturday and from getting my new teeth. I took a super long nap in the afternoon and when I woke up, I wasn't interested in playing much. I just wanted to sit on Daddy's lap and cuddle. Mom said I had a little bit of a temperature when I went to bed so she gave me some medicine and I am feeling much better today. That is a good thing, because there is lots to do to get ready for our trip later this week!

Theodore is doing really good too. He is 7 weeks old now and is starting to smile and interact a little more. I got my first smiles from him on Saturday morning. He thinks I am a good big brother. Theo is also starting to sleep more during the night, which has made things a little easier on Mom & Dad. They said next week he is going to start to sleep with me in our room. Mom redecorate the room to fit both of us so we can share a room. I think it will be nice having my little brother share a room with me!

Back to the Lake

Hi! Thank you to everyone who checks out my blog on a regular basis! I have now topped 2,000 visitors since the beginning of the year! I know I don't get to update it everyday like I used to, but life gets really busy at 15 months old. And I am an especially busy boy! My parents will always say "busy, busy, busy" as I am running around the house from one thing to the next, so much so that sometime I run around saying it myself!

This week I took my first trip to the library. Mom, Grandma and I all went to the library in Bath, NY. Apparently you are suppose to be quiet in libraries, but that is really hard for me. I am so used to being loud at home. Even when Mom and I were just trying out the rocking chairs, I was being my usual loud self and Mom had to shut me up with her hand over my mouth. My favorite part about the library? The balloons that were tied to the check-out desk. I kept going back over there, looking at the gentleman who worked on the library, and pointing to the balloon saying "BALL!"

Teddy liked the library too!
Yesterday, we spent the day at my Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young's cottage on Demmons Pond. It is a whole new place for me to explore this year since I can get around on my own. Daddy took me and Cohen down on the dock. I got a little nervous when Dad was holding me near the water. Mom looked a little nervous with me on the dock too! My Great-Aunt Sharon and her daughter Susie and husband Danny were there visiting. Aunt Sharon hadn't seen me since Christmas and I sure have changed since then! Being at the lake was lots of fun yesterday! I liked crawling in and out of Cooper's walker, even though it made all the adults nervous because they thought I would fall. I did fall once, but it doesn't bother me much and I was right back to trying it again.
Thedore finally got in to see the doctor on Friday after his appointment got changed a few times this week. He sure has grown! He is now 11 pounds 11 ounces and 22.5 inches long. He is a little ahead of me since I wasn't that weight until I was about 9 weeks old and he is only 6 weeks old. No wonder he is growing out of clothese that I wore when I was 3 months old!!

Birthday Bashes!

Here is a photo of me this morning. I was relaxing in Daddy's chair all by myself. I am pretty tuckered out from all the activities this weekend. This weekend was all about "Birthday Bashes"! I went to two birthday parties. On Saturday, we went all the way to Arcade, NY to my Uncle Joe and Aunt Michelle's house to celebrate my cousin, Cohen's third birthday. Then, on Sunday we went to Ed & Sarah's house to celebrate my friend Tully's first birthday. I like birthday parties!! There are lots of other kids to play with, lots of yummy food and sweet, sugary cake!!

Tully and me with his new 4-wheeler!

Theodore (Left) and Cooper (Right) with their matching Soothies!

Theodore William is 1 Month Old!

Other fun highlights from last week...Theodore hit the 1 month mark last Monday! He is growing really fast and we are all excited to see what his new measurements will be at his doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'll post the stats when we have them!!

We had some visitors on Monday. Judi Stiegler (who is my Dad's karate Sensei) and Jody Georgek (a karate wife/mom and friend) came to visit to see me and my brother. They brought gifts for Teddy, and even some for me!! They stayed to play with me and had a little tea party with Mom and Grandma. Then, on Friday, we had lunch at Grandma's house and Aunt Shannon and Aunt Lou Lou were there!! I was being super silly because I was over my usually naptime, so they were all getting a big kick out of me.

A little funny from the week...I usually watch cartoons in the mornings while I enjoy some milk and snuggle with Mom. Now that Theodore is here, Mom will usually brig me downstairs first and put some cartoons on while she goes back upstairs to bring Teddy down. She never likes me to watch too much TV though, so before breakfast, she will come in and turn the TV off and say " All Done!". Well, the other day, when Mom was watching TV, I walked up to the set and turned it off, turning to Mom to say "All Done"! That was my cue that I wanted her to pay attention to me and not the TV!!

Bye, Bye Gary!

First, I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to all the special ladies in my life who love me and are great Moms, Grandmas and Aunts! I had a great day yesterday with Mom. Dad and I got up early and worked on getting her gift ready for her to see. It was a new under-counter Radio/CD/MP3 player for the kitchen. Mom loves to listen to music when she makes my meals and this new one is so much better than the old radio we had in the kitchen. After a yummy breakfast made by Daddy, we went to church and then came home for naps. When everyone got up, we headed out the door to pick up some subs and snacks and go for a picnic at Mossy Banks Park in Bath. We took a walk to the overlook and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! Mom was so happy just to spend the day with her three favorite boys...Daddy, me and Teddy!
On Saturday, my Great-Uncle Gary and Aunt Jane came to see me and Teddy. I hadn't seen them in a while, so they were impressed with how much I had grown and learned. They stuck around for most of the afternoon and even went to dinner with us and Grandma Peterson. Uncle Gary was trying to get me to say his name as we were finishing up dinner. I didn't say it then, but when Daddy was strapping me in the car to go, it finally clicked in my head. I waved and said "Bye, Bye Gary!" He didn't get to hear it because he was all the way over in Grandma's car, but maybe next time he comes to visit I will show him that I know his name.

Some highlights from last week....

I went to the doctor's on Wednesday. I had to get three shots (BOOO!), but they are the last ones until I am 5 years old (YAAH!). My measurements were right on track keeping me in the same long and lean percentiles as before. I am now 23 lbs. 12.5 oz. and 32.25 inches long! Average weight with above average height for my age!

Teddy and I are getting along great! I really like to see him when he is in his swing because I can swing him and give him kisses.

Teddy First Trip to Canisteo

On Saturday afternoon, Mom, Dad, Teddy and I all packed ourselves up in the truck and headed to Canisteo. Teddy had never been to Canisteo (Daddy's hometown) before, so we were taking him so he could meet some family and see Grandpa Peters' house. First, we went to Great-Grandpa and Grandma Youngs' house. Great-Grandpa Young got to see Teddy for the first time. Did you know that Teddy's middle name, William, is in honor of Grandpa Young? His first name is William. Anyway, I hadn't been to their house in a long time myself, so I had lots of fun rediscovering things. I wasn't walking yet when I was last there, so it was kind of like a whole new place! I love to see Grandpa and Grandpa Young. They like to see me smile...and I smile a lot!
We headed to Grandpa Peters' house next. Aunt Michelle, Cohen and Cooper were all there visiting, so I got to play with my cousins for a while. I like to follow Cohen around and see what he plays with and does. He doesn't always appreciate me following him around, but Aunt Shel says that once he gets a little older, he will think it is cool and show me how to do lots of things. Here we are sitting together. Sometimes we sit at the table and chairs, but mostly we like to climb on top of it.
Cohen was really interesting in Teddy when he was laying on the floor. He was giving Teddy kisses on the head. I was doing the same to Cooper...giving him kisses on his head. Come on..lets' here it....Aaahhh! That is what the adults would say when we kissed each other. Grandpa made us a yummy dinner. Let me tell you what!! There is a lot of chaos at a dinner table with us four boys!! We sure add some excitement to Grandpa's house!
On Sunday, Grandma Peterson and Jenna came over for a visit in the morning. Jenna had been in town visiting Grandma all weekend. I like when Jenna come over because she isn't afraid to be loud like me! We chase each other around and yell back and forth! Sometimes she hides on me and jumps out when I come by. That really gets me squealing!! Later on, Ed and Sarah came over with my firned, Tully. Tully is getting awful big! He is walking like me now and will be turning one year old in just over a week! We hadn't had a chance to play together for a while, so this was the first time we were together since we both learned to walk. It was great having him here! We played with all my toys and of course, loved getting in to all the things that aren't toys too...like dog dishes, diapers on the changing table, Teddy's swing!! Boys will be boys!!

Our New Friend Ava!

Hello to all my loyal blog readers!! This is Tyrus here with an update on the Peters family!

The weeks sure are going quick! Can you believe that Teddy is going to be three weeks old tomorrow?! I am figuring out that he is here to stay and not just visiting like all the other babies I have known before him. That is okay though. I like having him around. I like to kiss his head, which Mom thinks is sweet, but I also like to bop him on the head with my hand, which Mom doesn't like too much. Teddy doesn't seem to mind anything I do to him, not even when I shake the swing when he is sleeping. See how much he is growing!
On Wednesday, Mom, Dad, Teddy and I all went to Rochester. We had to get up and out of the house really early to get there in time for Dad's doctor's appointment. After we were done there, we picked up lunch and went over to Mom's best friend, Brooke's house. She just had a baby too! Brooke and Angelo's new baby is named Ava and she came 6 weeks early so she is really, really tiny. Look at her compared to Teddy! She makes Teddy look like a little monster! Ava is really pretty for a baby. I can't wait until she grows up, just like Teddy, so I can make her laugh with my funny faces!

After we left Brooke's house, we stopped by to see Aunt Lou Lou, Karlie and Jenna. We missed Uncle George and Sarah because they weren't home yet. It was great to see everyone! My favorite things were pushing Aunt Lou Lou's laundry basket around and the yummy strawberries that she fed to me. By the time we got in the car to head home, I was totally exhausted! I think I was asleep in my car seat before we even got out of the driveway!

I am so glad today is Friday, because that means the weekend is coming and Daddy will be home. I love when Daddy is home because he wrestles with me and chases me around. Last night, we sat together and he read me a book. I love my Dad!!
