Good Weather, Good Fun!

We had a great week! We've had good weather, and good weather seems to lead to good fun! On Tuesday, my friends Aiden and Annie came over. We got out the bubble machine and chased bubbles all over the yard.
Even Teddy got in the mix...with the help of Grammie!

On Wednesday, we had a relaxing day at home. If we don't have to get somewhere in the mornings, we tend to hang out in our jammies for a while and play with our toys. Here is our toy cabinet. Quite full right? Mom says it is time to clean out!!

After breakfast and getting dressed, we headed outside to enjoy the warm temperatures. Teddy is loving the swing this year. We have a new sandbox thanks to Aunt Shel Shel and Uncle Joe. Teddy and I can play in there together, but Mommy wasn't too happy when right after this photo, I gave Teddy a big faceful of sand with my shovel.

A day full of outside play can be pretty tiring, so sometimes we decide just to relax and watch a movie. There is no better movie-watching spot than in Mommy's lap!

This is now Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial beginning of summer! We celebrated by our first official gathering at "the lake". "The Lake" is my Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young's cottage on Demons Pond in Howard. On Saturday, my Great-Aunt Sharon was up from Scranton, PA with Lea & Maria, and Aunt Susie and Uncle Danny were in from Baltimore, and Aunt Shel, Uncle Joe, Cohen and Cooper were there. So was Great-Uncle Bob, Aunt Carol, Brett and his son, Dawson.

I can have lots of fun at the lake this year. I even went wadding in the water. It was super cold but I loved picking the rocks of the bottom and throwing them back in to watch them splash!

Here is Teddy, Cooper and Dawson all playing together. We had fun sharing and playing with each other's toys!

One of the best parts of "the Lake" is all the good food! Us boys sure do get hungry after a day of play! And by the way, would somebody please tell our Moms that when we are super hungry and eating, we don't want to be bothered to have our picture taken!!

The weekend has already been so much fun and it is only half over! I'll try to post some more pictures when I can. Until then, have a great Memorial Day everyone!

Catchin' Up

There is a lot to catch you up on since I haven't been very good about posting here on my blog lately. Life is busy for a 2-year old like me! So, these photos go back a few weeks, but here is the rundown to get you caught up on my life.

During the last week of April, Mom, Teddy and I went to spend a few days in Rochester. We stayed with Brooke, Angelo and Ava. It was lots of fun at their house because they had all the toys and baby gear to keep us entertained. Ava seem to love our visit and would just squeal when she saw us. Teddy and Ava are quite a pair! Here they are playing together while we were waiting for some breakfast!

We visited Aunt Lou Lou, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna while we were there. We had dinner at their house and played. I always love to see Aunt Lou Lou and give her big hugs!! She didn't even get mad at me when I got a pencil and wrote on her walls.

We ended up back in Rochester that following Saturday for Ava's birthday party and Jenna's first communion. We didn't think we were going to go since we had just been in town, but we decided to surprise everyone and show up! We got to see lots of family and stayed past my bedtime because we were having so much fun with everyone!!

Here are some cute photos from last week. Mom had Teddy and I in matching Big Brother/Little Brother shirts and just thought we were too cute sharing our afternoon snack.

Daddy came home a bit early that night and we sat with him to watch a Finding Nemo for the millionth time. I've got a fascination with sharks and whales lately!

Mom keeps us on the run most days. We go on playdates, the play center at the library, MOPS, shopping, playgrounds, Grammie's house. We always seem to be on the run in the morning since we nap most of the afternoon. Sometimes Teddy just can't quite make it home for naptime and slumps over in the car.

We celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend. We took Mom Mom out for dinner on Saturday night to our favorite Mexican restaurant and got her a new iPod, just what she wanted (thanks for the tip Dad!). On Sunday, we went to see Great-Grandma & Grandpa Young and then over to Gram Gram Peters' house where we had dinner with Aunt Shel Shel, Cohen, Cooper and Papa!

Alright, now we are caught up to this week. These are some photos from Tuesday when we went to spend the day at Grammie's. We love to walk over to the playground over at the school. I like to climb, throw rocks, go down the slide. Teddy is just getting big enough to enjoy the playground too!!

So there! Now you are caught up with all the main events of our lives lately and all of the best photos from the last few weeks. We got some fun stuff coming up so I'll try and get back to blogging at least once a week. Until then...

Delay Due to Technical Difficulties

I hope you didn't think I had forgotten you. On the contrary, I tried to post a blog with these same pictures a week ago, and after all the uploading and all my cute comments, the Blogger website wouldn't publish the post and wouldn't save it....so I lost it all. I was a bit discouraged when all that hard work was lost, but I'm back...and ready to share a bit of life with you again!

The weather has been warming and Teddy & I are true outdoor buffs. We love to get out in the fresh air, whether going on walks with Daddy and the doggies, playing at the playgrounds or just hanging out in the backyard. Mom and Dad love being outside to, so we are gearing up with some new backpacks to enjoy some family hikes this summer. Here is Daddy and Teddy giving our new backpacks a trial run!

I like to try to help out outside. There is a lot of work to be done and Mom & Dad always seem to have a project they are working on. I was a really good shoveler this winter and thought I could carry that skill into the Spring, but apparently there isn't much to shovel off the driveway anymore. I did get some good shoveling in when Daddy & Papa Peters were working on cleaning up the former pool area a couple of weekends ago. There was lots of sand and rocks to get moved around, my skills sure came in handy then!

Speaking of skills, Teddy is acquiring some new ones. He is up on two legs a lot more now. He isn't quite walking on his own yet, but he stands up and cruises around on the furniture and will stand alone for a few seconds without realizing it. As soon as he realizes he isn't hanging on to something, down on his tush he goes. Here he is working on his spoon skills...

And for me, well, I am growing and learning a lot too. Most everyone seems to be quite amused lately at some of the things I say. My new favorite phrase is "I need...". I often say things like, "I need to drive the car", or "I need to go this way" (as I direct Mom from the backseat of the car), or "I need to go night-night".

Oh, and haircuts!! Last weekend, Daddy watched us on Saturday while Mom went to some leadership training for MOPS. He took us down to Barber Matt and we got our warm weather buzz cuts. We look like we are ready to enter boot camp!! Here is Teddy with his new do!

Okay, and I do have a video to share of Teddy pushing around our little cart to show off some of his new walking skills. This is where things went haywire when I tried to post this before, so hopefully this will upload nicely for you to enjoy!

Teddy Baseball Turns 1!!

Our little Teddy Baseball turned 1 year old on Sunday! We had a party to celebrate his first birthday on Saturday with family & friends. There are lots of photos to share, so I'll get right to it...

We had some good food at the party thanks to Billy Spaulding and the crew at Corning Catering! They always make us the yummiest meals! Teddy enjoyed his lunch with Great-Grandma and Grandpa Young!

Here is the Teddy Baseball birthday cake!!

Teddy sure did LOVE his cake!!

Auntie Tauheedah, my Mom's bestest college friend was here to visit us for the weekend. She lives in California now, but we love when she comes back to NY for a visit. She tried to get in on some of Teddy's cake and ended up with it on her nose!!

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to..."

All my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were here to celebrate with us. Here is Uncle Johnny. Teddy had to do some work fixing his wheels.

Here is Uncle Joe. He has blue eyes just like Teddy's.

I helped open some of Teddy's gifts. I help play with them too! :-) Thanks everyone for the wonderful presents!

Sunday was Teddy's actually birthday and it was Easter too! We woke up and had to find our Easter baskets. Then there was church, lunch, naps...pretty much the same Sunday routine.
Have you seen my Easter basket?

Here is me eating some lunch with my new Thomas Train Whistle!! TOOT TOOT!!

We decided to go out for Easter dinner. Here is Teddy and I all packed in the truck headed out for our meal. Now we both have our own baseball caps!!

Today, Grammie and Mom took Teddy and I to Sears to get our birthday photos taken. Here are some shots from our session. You can also see the new ones on the right hand side of our blog page...just look up to the right.

Yoo Hoo! Anyone there?

Hello? Anyone there? I figure you all might have given up on me and stopped checking the blog by now since it has been so long since I last wrote. Sorry about being "gone" for so long. It isn't that I haven't been doing fun things to share with you all, but more than Mom hasn't been taking any photos...and I know you all like to see new photos.

There isn't a lot of new, exciting news besides the fact that Teddy is now "upright". He has figured out how to pull himself up on things, and does a pretty good of staying up (unless I knock him down). This new mobility of his does create some difficulties for me though. Now he is easily getting into my toys, and is just in my way sometimes. It can be frustrating and I admit, I have taken to pushing and hitting him a bit. I'm learning that isn't a good approach though. I didn't quite get it at first, but after spending a lot of time standing in the corner in time-out over the last several weeks, it is finally sinking in. Perhaps some of this is why Mom hasn't had much time to take photos lately :-).

She did get a few photos this week of Teddy and I at the window. We were watching snow fall outside. Can you believe it? Just when I thought Spring was here...

Mom and Dad think I have been saying a lot of cute and funny stuff lately. I do have quite an imagination! Sometimes it leads to fun, other times to mischief. Teddy is learning new things too. He makes lots of sounds, but we still haven't figured out if there have been officially "first words" yet. He does seem to point at things now and say "What's that?" One thing he has mastered is eating big people food. You better not even let him see food unless you are planning to share it with him. He has quite an appetite!!

We are busy preparing for a visit from my Auntie T (my Mom's best friend from college) and Teddy's big 1st birthday party on Saturday, Easter and his official birthday on Sunday....so we are sure to have lots of new photos and stories to share with you after the weekend!
