Merry Christmas to All!!

Hi Family and Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I sure did! It was three whole days of fun!

On Sunday, I went to my Uncle George and Aunt Laurie's house in Rochester for the Peterson family Christmas! My Grandma and Grandpa Peterson were there! My Uncle John, Aunt Christine, and cousins, Matt, Tim, Sarah and Sam were there! My Great-Aunt Jean was there! And of course, my cousins, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna were there because they live there! I had so much fun seeing everyone...it was hard to leave.

On Christmas Eve, I went with Dad to Grandpa Peters' in Canisteo in the morning. We hung out there until the afternoon so Mom could get some stuff done at home. When we got home, we quickly got ready for church. We met Aunt Shannon and Sadie there. I loved all the singing and clapping! After church, we all headed back to Canisteo to go to Uncle Dan and Aunt Sue's house where they had the Peters' family Christmas! I got to see lots of family, including my newest cousin, Coby Peters who is only 1 week old.

Today was Christmas! I wasn't too interested in opening presents up this morning. Mom opened up some new toys I got yesterday and I was much more interested in playing with those. My Grandma and Grandpa Peters came over around 10 AM. I got to see them for a while before I took my nap. When I woke up, my Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young were here too! I finally decided to open up some gifts and I got some great things! New toys, new clothes, new books! I can't wait to have more time to play with them all!

Thank you to everyone for making this such a special first Christmas! I love you!!

Exploring the Outdoors

Yesterday, Daddy bundled me all up and took me outside to explore! I got to wear my snow pants for the first time and really crawl around outside all on my own! Mom and Dad were worried about my hands getting cold, since my mittens weren't really made for crawling around, so they put my slipper boots on my hands!! Don't I look funny?!! Delia and Blossom were outside playing too. You can see them behind me where they were jumping and wrestling in the snow.

Here is me the other morning riding around on my little car. See all my teeth! I have 6 of them now, four on top and two on bottom!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post! Things have been really busy these past few weeks, lots of preparation for the holidays and with my new mobility, I am busy exploring the world!! Not only do I crawl all over, but I pull myself up on things and crusing around holding onto furniture. This opens up a whole new level of things for me to get into! I sure do keep Mom and Dad busy!

By now everyone should have gotten or will soon be getting our Christmas cards. Those pictures were such a fun day! Mommy bundled me up and took me outside where Dad had the dogs harnessed up to a sled. They pulled me around for a while and then Dad stopped them so we could take some photos. It was my first time playing out in the snow. The pictures are cute, but so is this video of my first sledding experience!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

One of my favorite things to do these days is pull myself up holding onto the windowsill and looking out the window. The other day when I looked out there was white stuff all over the ground. Mom said it is called snow and that it can be lots of fun to play in.

Sometimes the blinds are down, but that doesn't stop me from taking a peek.

Second Thanksgiving in Arcade

On Friday, Dad took the day off of work and we went to visit my Aunt Michelle, Uncle Joe, cousin Cohen, and my new cousin, Cooper. Grandma & Grandpa Peters came too and we had a second Thanksgiving day feast. It was so fun to play with Cohen's toys, although he wasn't always so thrilled that I was playing with them. That is okay though, I would just move onto the next one.

Here is a photo of my Grandpa Peters with all his grandsons...me, Cohen and Cooper.

On Saturday, we went to Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young's house in Canisteo. There was lots of family visiting from Pennsylvania. There was my Great Aunt Sharon, Uncle Mike, Billy (Daddy's cousin) with his wife, Kathy and kids, Kaitlin and Michael. Plus Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Janine. You know I love a crowd and these were all new people to show off my tricks.

Here is a video Mom took of me last week jumping around in my crib. These are my daily exercises and I usually do them before I go to sleep and when I wake up. It really gets the blood flowing!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Check out my Turkey Day shirt made by my Aunt Amy!

Did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? I sure did!! Mom, Dad and I headed to my Aunt Jane & Uncle Gary's with the puppies on Wednesday night. We got there about 8:30, which is past my bedtime, but since I had slept most of the way there, Mom and Dad let me stay up for a while. Aunt Amy was there too! I got to show them all my new tricks! It was really great to see them since I hadn't seen them since this summer. The next day was Thanksgiving and my Grandma Peterson, Aunt Amanda and Scott all showed up to celebrate the holiday with us. We enjoyed the day watching old home movies and eating lots of yummy food. I was sad when we had to go, but hopefully I will see everyone again soon with Christmas coming up.

On Friday, we spent the day at home. We cooked our own Thanksgiving meal. Then on Saturday, we headed to Canisteo to make our rounds of visits. First, we stopped at Great-Grandma & Grandpa Young's house, and my Grandma Peters stopped over there to see me. None of them had seen me crawling yet, so they were very excited to watch me make my way around the house. I started to rock back and forth when I heard music, which prompted my Great-Grandpa to get out his guitar and play me some tunes. He even let me try to play a few notes.

Next, we went to visit Great-Grandma Peters. It was great to see her, but by the time I got there, I was so tired from all the playing with Grandma Betsy that I was kind of cranky and when Daddy picked me up in the rocking chair, it didn't take long before I was asleep. When I woke up, Mom and Dad were bundling me up again and we headed over to Grandpa Peters house. When Dad set me down in the kitchen, I immediately headed for the livingroom and all of Grandpa's different balls. I love balls and when I last visited, he had them in all different colors and sizes. There was a basketball, soccer ball, golf balls, foam balls!! I just love to play with them! We had dinner at Grandpa's and stayed for a while.

Sunday was just a day to rest up from the busy weekend we had! I got to spend a lot of time with my Daddy over the weekend. He quickly became my favorite person to go to. All in all, I thought Thanksgiving was lots of fun and I can't wait for next year!!

Oooh!! Some other big news from the weekend...I have a new cousin!! My Aunt Michelle gave birth to her second son, Cooper Michael Lyons on Wednesday afternoon. We get to go see him on Friday!!

New Bag of Tricks

I have got a whole bag of new tricks now!! I have now mastered the art of crawling. I am all over the place exploring everywhere I go. Not only that, but I can pull myself up to standing. I am standing up in my crib, on the side of my playbox, on the gate. I am seeing the world in a whole new way!! I am learning new stuff every day, especially this past week. I am starting to learn some of the sign language that Mom and Dad have been so diligently showing me. My Dad is so proud of me because this week, I finally got the idea of the "So Big" game. He says "So Big" and I raise my hands way up above my head and smile, then he claps for me and I clap too!! It is so fun!

I got to go to Rochester with my Mom this past weekend. She went out to a concert with Grandma and Aunt Lou Lou, so I got to stay with Aunt Jane, Aunt Amanda, and my cousins, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna. I got to show everyone all my new tricks! Aunt Jane and Aunt Amanda helped to put me to bed, which was a little weird for me because only Mom, Dad and Grandma have ever put me to bed. It was a little upseting at first, but Aunt Amanda picked me up to reassure me and rocked me to sleep.

I get to see her and Aunt Jane again on Thursday when I go to Syracuse for Thanksgiving. We are all going as a family, Mom, Dad, me and the doggies too! I will also get to see my Uncle Gary, Aunt Amy, Aunt Dottie, Scott and even Grandma Peterson will be there. I am really looking forward to my first Thanksgiving!!
