Pour Some Sugar on Me

Today, Mom and I went to Binghamton to meet my Auntie Tauheedah. She is my mom's bestest friend from college. She lives out in California, but she was home visiting and we met up with her to spend the afternoon together. I last saw her back in May when I was only 4 months old. She came and spent a few days with Mom and I and we really bonded back. It was so good to see her again because she is crazy!! We went to lunch and she was pouring all the sugar packets onto my lap and just being silly with me! We had lots of laughs together today and I was sad to say good-bye. Hopefully she will be back this summer to see me again and to meet my new baby brother or sister.

We Love You Auntie T!!

Laughter is the Best Medicine

So, usually my Mom and Dad don't let me watch a lot of TV. They say it isn't good for me, that it stiffles my imagination. I do watch Baby Einstein videos in the mornings sometimes with my mom. It allows us to stay in bed and cuddle until the house gets warm and the sun comes up. The other night my Dad was flipping through the TV channels and came to Sesame Street. There was this funny character named Elmo on the TV and he sure caught my funny bone. It was just before bed, which is when I tend to be a little silly (either that or cranky).

Disclaimer: Mom and Dad don't usually let me watch TV this close to the set either, but I happened to be playing with the VCR buttons when this came on.

Movin' and Groovin'

Wow! I see there have been a lot of folks here to visit my site! Sorry I haven't gotten a new post up in a while, but hopefully this one is worth the wait.

Today, I went with Mom to Corning Hospital so she could have some blood work done. Pretty standard stuff I guess for her point in the pregnancy. Dad came to pick me up there since it was going to take a while. I got to come back home, just me and Dad and play for a while. Dad has been working with me lately trying to show me the basics of walking. For a long time, I wouldn't put my feet down when someone would hold me up by the arms to try and walk me across the room. Dad finally got me comfortable with it by saying "Run, run, run" and walking me quickly across the room. I thought it was lots of fun, so we have been doing it every night for the past week or so. Tonight was a little different though, and by the time Mom got back from the hospital, I was doing this....

Yep, I am on the move! A few days ago, I wouldn't stand behind this thing no matter how Mom and Dad tried, but today....I just got it! Now I can buzz all over the livingroom. I am even figuring out how to change direction. Good thing I can "run, run, run" because it goes fast on our floors!

My Friend Tully

I have a friend named Tully Fratarcangelo. I have mentioned him before here on my blog. He is 3 months younger than me and our Moms and Dads have been friends for quite a while now. I got to see Tully quite a bit over this holiday. First, we went out to dinner with our parents to Olive Garden right after Christmas. Then on Thursday, our Moms met up at Kohl's to do some shopping. But most fun of all was yesterday. Tully came over to my house to play for a while in the afternoon. He is just starting to crawl around and he enjoyed checking out all my toys. One things he did not enjoy was me constantly trying to touch his face. I guess I was just really glad to see him. Here is a little video of my friend Tully laughing at his mom. He has a really funny laugh and I was getting a kick out of it too.

Look Mom, No Hands!

Check me out! This is my new trick lately...I am learning to stand on my own! I first did it on Christmas Day with my Mom, Dad, Grandma & Grandpa Peters and Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young watching. They were all so stunned that they just sat there is silence while I stood with my hands proudly raised over my head for several seconds (that felt like forever). Mom happened to catch me on camera this morning. Of course, I don't just like to stand like everyone else does. I like to raise my hands up high above my head to show everyone just how great of a trick I can do!

Happy New Year!

Me and Dad

This has been one of the best weeks ever! First off, my Daddy was home for almost two full weeks! It was so much fun having him around. He took me on a couple of walks with the puppies. I was so bundled up that I couldn't even move, but it was nice to get some fresh air. It made me take extra long naps!

I also got to see so many other people I love! I saw a lot of my family and favorite friends at different gatherings throughout the holiday week. My Grandma Peterson was here this past weekend to watch me while Mom and Dad went to some parties. I had lots of fun bossing her around as I pointed around to tell her where to take me. I noticed it doesn't work as well on Mom and Dad, but the grandparents seem to go for it.

Me and my new "Big Boy" car seat!

Merry Christmas to All!!

Hi Family and Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I sure did! It was three whole days of fun!

On Sunday, I went to my Uncle George and Aunt Laurie's house in Rochester for the Peterson family Christmas! My Grandma and Grandpa Peterson were there! My Uncle John, Aunt Christine, and cousins, Matt, Tim, Sarah and Sam were there! My Great-Aunt Jean was there! And of course, my cousins, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna were there because they live there! I had so much fun seeing everyone...it was hard to leave.

On Christmas Eve, I went with Dad to Grandpa Peters' in Canisteo in the morning. We hung out there until the afternoon so Mom could get some stuff done at home. When we got home, we quickly got ready for church. We met Aunt Shannon and Sadie there. I loved all the singing and clapping! After church, we all headed back to Canisteo to go to Uncle Dan and Aunt Sue's house where they had the Peters' family Christmas! I got to see lots of family, including my newest cousin, Coby Peters who is only 1 week old.

Today was Christmas! I wasn't too interested in opening presents up this morning. Mom opened up some new toys I got yesterday and I was much more interested in playing with those. My Grandma and Grandpa Peters came over around 10 AM. I got to see them for a while before I took my nap. When I woke up, my Great-Grandpa and Grandma Young were here too! I finally decided to open up some gifts and I got some great things! New toys, new clothes, new books! I can't wait to have more time to play with them all!

Thank you to everyone for making this such a special first Christmas! I love you!!
