Getting in the Spirit

As December rolls in, we've been getting into the Christmas spirit. First, we were really excited when Mom put up the tree last week, even if it was just stood up and plugged in with no decorations until this weekend. Still, every morning, Teddy and I would come down and say "Look! It is a Christmas tree!" It is even more fun now that there are decorations on it, but Mom won't let us touch it much anymore.

Seeing the snow fall outside has also been very exciting for me these days. I think everyday that Santa is coming and can't wait until he does. Mom and Dad said that Christmas is a special time because we are celebrating Jesus' birthday. Along with getting gifts from Santa (a.k.a. St. Nicholas...we learned his story more this year too!), we get gifts for the people we love. On Friday, I went out shopping with Daddy and picked out a gift for Teddy. The waiting and not telling him what I bought part is a little hard for me. I'm just too excited!!

What else are we doing to get into the Christmas spirit? Well, we tried on some festive Santa hats and Mom tried to get a good photo of the three of us boys. Not an easy feat, and usually the outtakes are the best part.

We also have enjoyed getting treats in our Advent Calendar every night after dinner. This weekend we got reindeer headbands and blinking Rudolph noses. Teddy and I had tons of fun as Dad played "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" repeatedly as we ran around the kitchen table pretending we were reindeer.

Decorating, buying gifts, wearing festive gear...all wonderful things as we lead up to Christmas day!
And one more photo. This was from this morning. We had lent out our GeoTrax trains to our cousins, Cohen and Cooper for a while and now that we have them back, they are like brand new again. We've been playing with them all day! Don't you like our little set up here?

So Much to Be Thankful For...

We had a family, fun-filled week to celebrate Thanksgiving. Thankgiving is a great holiday for us because we have LOTS to be thankful for. First off is our healthy, happy Denton. He is quite a turkey, a Butterball in fact. He gets lots of attention!
Look at all the ladies who wanted to see his juicy thighs...

And the Denton loving continued with Kaitlyn and Kristen....

But, don't worry! Teddy and I get lots of attention too! We were the center of attention at the kids' table for Thankgiving dinner.

Denton enjoyed his Thanksgiving dinner too. He enjoys EVERY meal!

I am very thankful for my cousins, Karlie, Jenna and Sarah.

And we are thankful for good friends, like Brooke, Angelo and their daughters Ava and Alessia. Denton & Alessia are only 11 days apart and really enjoyed watching each other.

Most of all we are thankful for family...and we've sure been blessed with a GREAT one!

In fact, we've been blessed with such GREAT families that we have two big dinners to see them all. The second Thanksgiving dinner was at Gram Gram Peters house.
Once again, Denton loves his mealtime, especially when a grandma is feeding him!

We are also thankful for our Aunt Shel, Uncle Joe, Cohen & Cooper. Things are never dull when
we are all together.
And I'm thankful for all of you who still read my blog even though I don't get to update it as much as I used to! Don't worry though! There is sure to be lots of new photos and memories to share with you as we head into the Christmas season. I'm VERY excited for Christmas this year! So stay tuned!

A Day at the Park

These photos were taken on November 13th, a beautiful fall day that we spend together as a family at the park. This is a new favorite spot for us. Mom and Dad like it because we can walk the dogs, there aren't many other people, and us boys can run, explore and enjoy the playground. I love it because it has a stegosaurus juggle gym on the playground.

Aren't we a handsome bunch? At least that is what my Mom says.

Happy Halloween!

Last night we went trick-or-treating in Canisteo where my Daddy grew up. This was a fun year for Teddy and I because we are old enough to walk around more and we get to eat more candy now that we are older :-). Daddy took us all over town while we went door to door.

Our first stop was Great-Grandpa & Grandma Young's house. We stayed for a few minutes to visit and then headed out on the town. Denton had his costume on over there, but he fell asleep on Great-Grandma's lap and didn't get to go out and trick-or-treat with us. But, he got to stay nice and warm with them.

On Saturday, our Mima (as Teddy calls her) Peters came to babysit so Mom & Dad could go to a party. We had so much fun with her. We got in some other costumes we had and showed her the Beaver story we've been loving lately (thanks to Mrs. Thommie who let us borrow it!).

Earlier on Saturday, we spent some time outside helping Daddy with leaves. We had lots of fun throwing the leaves, jumping in the piles, riding on the tarp...and we even actually helped a little!

October Fun

October is here and fall is fully underway! We've had a month full of fun with Mom & Dad both celebrating birthdays and a trip to Syracuse. Here is an update on us...

Denton is growing fast! He is almost 6 months now and went to the doctor's last week due to a little cold where he weighed in at 18 lbs. 10 oz. He is jolly, smiles at just about everyone who pays him attention, plays wonderfully on his own reaching out and holding toys now. He is a really great baby and I just love him! I love to make him laugh and give him kisses on his head.

We had a garden again this year and got quite a few pumpkins. We helped Daddy harvest them and put them up along the house. It was lots of fun for us riding back and forth in the wagon while Daddy did all the work.

I had a special time last week when I went to my Gram Gram Peters house for an overnight all by myself. We did all sorts of fun things together. Teddy and Denton stayed home with Mom and Dad. Teddy got a chance to be the big brother in the bathtub!

We all took a trip to Syracuse last weekend to visit Aunt Jane & Uncle Gary. We loved staying over at their house and didn't want to leave! We had dinner at Uncle John & Aunt Christine's house and got to meet our new cousin-in-law, Nerissa (married to our cousin Derek) and their new daughter Brooklyn. She is super cute, but didn't really know what do to with me, especially when I growled at her.

Visiting my Mom's Great Aunt Arlene was a special part of our trip. She is 93-years old and still sharp as a tack. She likes the Yankees just like us and thinks we are quite a bunch!!

Oh, and my Grandpa Peters and Great Aunt Jean came for a visit too! See, we've been busy!!

Three busy boys! That is what we are!! Thanks for checking in with us! Come back next week for some Halloween photos!
