Welcome to Denton Ralph Peters!

Most of you have probably heard by now, but we have a new addition to the family, a new baby brother named Denton Ralph. He was born on Wednesday, May 5th at 10:35 PM. Denton may be the youngest Peters boy, but he won't necessarily be the littlest weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 1/4 inches long.

Mom started feeling some sharp contractions around 3 PM that afternoon. Teddy and I woke up from our naps at 4 PM and by then, it was pretty clear Mom was starting labor. By 6 o'clock, Grammie came to take Teddy and I, and Mom and Dad were off to the hospital. Things continued to move quickly there and we were all surprised when Denton was born at 10:35 PM. Mom said it was a great delivery and she seemed to be up & feeling good very quickly.

Since Denton was born so late at night, we had to wait until the next day to go and meet him. Grammie took us up to the hospital on Thursday morning. Teddy and I were so excited to have a baby brother. We still like to call him "Baby" since that is how we've referred to him for 9 months now. I always told everyone there was a boy in Mom Mom's belly and I was right!

I was so excited to be able to hold Denton. Even now, over a week later, I am constantly asking Mom and Dad if I can hold him.

Teddy got to hold him too. He is very interested in just how little all of Denton's parts are...his eyes, his nose, his ears, his fingers, his toes. Teddy had to check them all out.

On Friday, Gram Gram Peters got up to the hospital to spend the afternoon visiting with Mom and Denton. Denton makes 5 grandsons for Gram Gram!

During our visit that day, we shared some of our favorite cartoons with Denton.

Mom and Denton got discharged from the hospital late on Friday night. We didn't get to see them when they got home, but were so excited to have Mom Mom back and Denton with us on Saturday morning.

On Saturday, Papa, Aunt Shel Shel, Cohen, Cooper and Gram Gram all came to bring us dinner and meet Denton.

Then on Sunday, Uncle George, Aunt Lou Lou, Sarah, Karlie, Jenna and Grammie all came to bring us dinner. I was loving all the visitors and all the yummy food!

And in the midst of it all, Teddy and I were still our normal silly selves! One of our new fun activities is playing "Giant Pickle" where we put on our boxing gear and dance around just like the Giant Pickle in our favorite Veggie Tales movie. Teddy likes to wear his batting helmet backwards for extra protection.

Last Sunday was also Mother's Day. Mom said it was one of her best Mother's Day's ever! She loves having us three boys to love on, and we love her right back!

So, that is the story of Denton's arrival to our family! These photos are a week old already and Denton is changing fast! Sorry for the delay in posting them, but things sure have been busy for us. I'll try to get some new photos up this week to get y'all up-to-date.
