Last Day of Summer

Well, summer is over and it sure did go fast! I had so many good times this summer!! It was the best. The whole summer was pretty busy and this week was no different. Mom and I went to Rochester on Monday. We went to visit Mom's old coworkers at Foster & Wager. They were all shocked at how much I had grown. Then we went to Uncle George & Aunt LuLu's house. Jenna and Karlie were home from school and they played with me while Mom went to the store. We really wanted to see Grandma since her birthday was the day before, so she came over after work and we got her flowers and a cookie cake! I got to hang out with my cousins and Grandma for the evening. It was lots of fun!

On Tuesday morning when I woke up, Daddy was home! He spent the whole day home with Mom and I because he missed us so much during his trip to NYC. I was so glad to see him! I am always glad to see Dad. When he gets home from work, he comes inside to see me and sometimes he takes me outside to get the mail with him. This was us the other day!

What else did we do this week? Let's see...we went shopping at Sam's and visited Daddy at work. Mom and I went for a walk and visited our friends, the Sauer's to see their new baby girl.

Now that I am 7 months old, I am figuring a lot of things out. I am not crawling yet, but I always seem to be able to get to the things I want. I scoot around on my back, or roll to try to reach things. I am sitting up really good on my own and I play with all sorts of toys now. Yep, I have to say...life is good!

Special Birthdays!

Hello Friends & Family! How is everyone doing? I am doing really well. I had a really good weekend. On Saturday, I spent the day home with Mom and Dad. We were outside for a bit while they worked to close up the pool for the season. I can't believe summer is already gone! It was a great summer for my first summer!!

Dad left early on Sunday morning with Grandpa Peters. They went to New York City for a couple of days to see a Mets game and a Yankees game. So, it has just been me, Mom and the doggies!! Yesterday, Mom and I went to Canisteo to see my Great-Grandpa Young who celebrated his 85th birthday. Yesterday was also my Grandma Peterson's birthday and we are heading to Rochester to see her today! Two of my favorite people in the whole wide world and they share the same birthdays!! So...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA & GREAT-GRANDPA!!!

Daddy should be home early tomorrow morning and he said he is spending the whole day with us. I can't wait to see him!! Well, I better get going. Time to get ready for our trip to Rochester!

Taking Care of Mom

Sorry I have been M.I.A for a few days, but I was busy taking care of my mommy. She got really sick on Tuesday with some sort of stomach thing. It got so bad that Dad and I took her to the emergency room and they made her stay at the hospital overnight. The doctors still aren't really sure what it was, but I am so glad she is feeling better. Grandma Peterson came down to help take care of me. Grandma and Daddy took really good care of me too, but I really missed my mom. It was hard to go to sleep on Tuesday night without her. She got home last night though, in time to put me to bed, and she was home with me all day today. It felt so good to have things back to normal, when I could be home with my Mom and my toys.

And since Mommy was sick and she was trying to wean me off breastfeeding anyway, she decided I could feed off her anymore. I am still a little upset about this whole decision. Instead, I have been getting formula in sippy cups. I guess I am starting to get used to it, but it would have been nice if they had consulted me about this decision!!

Messy Face!

Check out my messy face! This is what happens when Daddy feeds me dinner!! Well, it isn't really his fault though. I am always on the move these days, so I do make it hard sometimes to get that spoon in the right spot. I can't help it!! There are so many things to look at! I love being in my highchair because I get a bird's eye view of everything...the doggies running around, the cars going by, the leaves blowing in the trees. All that keeps my head moving during dinnertime.

Daddy has been feeding me a lot more lately. I have been learning to drink out of cups and taking more formula, instead of always feeding of Mommy. I am adjusting to the new eating well. I like the extra time with Daddy. This weekend, I got up early with him and Mom slept in while Dad and I played downstairs.

What else did I do this weekend? Well, Saturday we were all around the house for most of the day. We spent some time outside working on the lawn. On Saturday evening, we met Ed, Sarah and Tully out to dinner at Red Lobster. It was Tully's first time at a restaurant. He did really well, and so did I (of course)! On Sunday, we went to Canisteo to visit everyone. We saw my Great-Grandpa Young who is home from the hospital and doing a lot better. We also stopped at Grandpa Peters, and Aunt Shel and Cohen were there! Cohen was doing all sorts of things that made me laugh! Later on, we all went to Grandma Betsy's for dinner. By the end of the day, I was one tired boy!!

7 Months Old!!

Yesterday I turned 7 months old! Can you believe it? I know...I am growing up fast. That is what everyone says! I am learning all sorts of new tricks now. I can sit up on my own, at least for a little while before I topple over in one direction or another. I pick up everything with my hands. I like to bang whatever is in my hand against thing because it makes lots of noise. Making noise is a specialty of mine! I like to let out these high pitched screeches and yells, because it always gets a reaction. I also love to make raspberries with my mouth. I especially like it when I have lots of drool or food in my mouth. It can make a big mess!! Mom says I am all boy! Very active, very loud and already into banging this together!

I don't have any teeth yet, but supposedly I will get some soon. My gums do hurt a lot and sometimes it wakes me up at night. I usually sleep right through the night though, just like I have since I was 8 weeks old. Now I make use of all my crib and especially like to sleep on my side, curled up right next to the edge of my crib. It feels cozy that way.

Daddy's Home!!

My Daddy came home on Monday from his trip to Indiana. I didn't get to see him until 6:30 that evening though, because Mom and I had gone to Syracuse with Grandma for my Aunt Janice's retirement party. I hated not being here to welcome Dad home, but it was fun to see some family. My Uncle George, Aunt LuLu, Sarah, Karlie and Jenna were there. My Aunt Jane and Uncle Gary too! Most fun of all was to meet my cousin, Madison who is just a few months older than me.

It is so good to have Dad back home to wake me up in the mornings and throw me around when he gets home. Mom and I were missing him today when he was at work, so we went to see him and bring him some lunch. Some days, I wish he didn't have to work so he could stay home and be with me!

The Good and the Bad

The good news of the weekend is that my Grandma Peterson is here to see me and we are having so much fun. She came on Friday night and since then we have been on a walk, played lots of peekaboo, went on the swing, lots of my favorite things. She is a funny Grandma. She just giggles and laughs at everything I do, so of course I do all my funny tricks for her. And, she does all sorts of silly tricks too, to get me to laugh. We spend a lot of time laughing together and that is always fun.

The bad news is I miss my Daddy. He went to Indiana for the weekend to see Rich, Deb and the family and to do some hunting. He left on Friday morning and I am just missing him like crazy. I miss him coming home and throwing me up in the air and carrying me all around. I miss him being the first one to come in for me in the morning. I miss him taking me for walks with the doggies after dinner. Mom says he is coming home on Monday. It can't be soon enough.
